Welcome to Truman's paradise. After a long wait, Truman Kai Schlag finally entered this world at Kapiolani Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Oct. 19, 1999. It was a memorable day because there had been much thunder and lightning the night before he was born--something very unusual in Hawaii.

Truman quickly grew into a fat little boy who loves to smile at everyone and practice spitting. He excels at sucking on his fingers, grabbing hair, and laughing when he's tickled.

Truman especially loves his sister, Ayanna. Whenever she comes into the room, he smiles really big and watches her every move.
